Page 1  -  Series EG-006

This series is the result of one of our first experiments using small-scale black-and-white repeat patterns as textures in a grey-scale monochrome environment.  The outcome was as unexpected as it was pleasurable.  We anticipated some sort of Art Deco machine-engraved effect - such as those on Page 4, for example - but ended up with earth-toned wool-weave fabric effects, reminiscent of tweed!   If you like fabric effects, have a look at our Series EG-017 on Page 2 for something a little different.

So . . . some variations on a serendipidous theme.  No beveling has been applied in this series - but try adding a simple bevel yourself; a small amount is quite effective.  The only differences between the individual Presets are in the lighting, glue mode or iricolor settings, or any combination thereof.  Isn't it amazing what a tweak here and nudge there will do?

This page's main background is generated by a seamless tile created with Super BladePro, using one of the Presets on this page - EG-006k - applied once to a white image.  You will find the tile itself in the Seamless Tiles section of this Gallery.

AND THERE'S MORE . . .

We did a couple of small trials with some of these Presets, just to see what happened.  One trial was to apply them to different coloured  images (remember that the samples above were from a white image) and the other was to apply them more than once.  If you would like to see the results, just click . . .

All Presets in this series will produce seamless tiles for use as backgrounds and borders.  The background for this  page is an example.  Images sized in multiples of 36×36 pixels will not require any  adjustment or touching-up.  A comprehensive range of tiles created by these Presets is included in the Seamless Tiles section of this Gallery.  You can download them from there, but if you just want to see what they look like, click . . .
