Meetings and Hearings

A number of meetings have been held by the Group, both before and after preparation and publication of its Report.

Meetings

Tuesday 8 May 2007

Held by the Group to review, inter alia, possible further activities given its specific and limited purpose.  A summary of the meeting is available here, as a 47Kb RTF file suitable for all main-stream word processing packages . . .

Notes

Tuesday 6 February 2007

Held to discuss the Report, how to use it and how to keep the political momentum behind the ME cause.  The Group felt 2007 to be an extremely important year for ME as it would see the publication of the new NICE guidelines and the new DWP guidelines.  It is considered vital that the patient voice is heard and that ME is kept on the political agenda.  The Group hopes the Report will help as a vehicle to do that.  The meeting's agenda, together with notes of what took place (including a list of those present), are available here as Microsoft 'Word' word processing documents - 43Kb and 206Kb DOC files respectively.

Agenda Notes
Oral Hearings

Agenda

It is very much regretted that it will not be possible to publish Minutes for Oral Hearing 3.  Although contemporaneous if abbreviated handwritten notes were taken at the Hearing, unavoidable changes in key personnel shortly thereafter delayed production of the Minutes.  Subsequently, despite the considerable efforts of a number of people and without access to the notes' author, it has proved impossible to interpret the notes with any degree of success.  Although no real substitute for full Minutes, copies of all five of the Hearing's presentations are available here.
